Learning on Location ("LOL", "we", "us") is a program of the Circle Ten Council, Scouting America. This policy explains what information we collect through our staff scheduling and school booking sites, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using our sites you agree to this policy.
Information we collect
- Staff information you provide when registering or updating your profile: name, alias, phone numbers, email address, Scouting America registration status, and certification dates (for example Youth Protection Training and Hazardous Weather training).
- School and booking information submitted by schools: school name, type, district, address, contact name and email, phone number, requested dates, activity/rotation selections, add-ons, and the number of participants.
- Usage and session information such as login sessions, IP address, and browser type, used to keep the sites secure and working.
How we use information
- To schedule staff and confirm LOL bookings.
- To send transactional emails (assignment confirmations, reminders, reservation confirmations, and password resets).
- To verify that assigned staff meet the required certifications before a LOL.
- To maintain the security and integrity of the sites and to comply with applicable laws and Scouting America policies.
How we share information
We do not sell your information. We share it only as needed to run the program:
- With the Circle Ten Council and Scouting America for registration, background-check, and certification verification.
- With the relevant school and camp staff for a scheduled LOL.
- With service providers that help us operate the sites (for example, email and hosting providers).
- When required by law or to protect the safety of participants.

Data retention
We keep staff and booking records for as long as needed to administer the program and to meet our record-keeping and safety obligations, then delete or archive them according to Council policy.
Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted connections and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
